Sugar beads

Sugar beads also called as cheeni paasi or poth is one of the basic materials used in embroidery. These beads are made of glass and coated with different shades of gold like metallic gold, dull gold and antique gold. They are really very tiny beads with holes. These beads are used as outline for many shapes in embroidery. Because of its tiny size it can be used for many tiny shapes and motifs. There are a few more varieties in sugar beads. It is available in glass finish also... that is not with any gold Color coating. These glass sugar beads are glassy and has a little transparent look. It is also available in various colours. Nowadays we get Color sugar beads in matte finish also. These matte finish Color sugar beads are used mostly in fancy types of work. I have uploaded the pics of only a few sugar beads variety that I have in hand. I will upload pics of more varieties and colours as early I get them in hand.
